Protection of Human Subjects
Research at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry adheres to the guidelines established by the National Institutes of Health. The NIH requires evidence of education in the protection of human research participants for the key personnel of any proposal that utilizes human beings in its research. This requirement was announced via NIH Notice OD-00-039 on June 5, 2000.
