The University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine (UPRSDM) Assistant Dean of Research, directed by Dr. Augusto Elias, is in charge of promoting research among faculty and students.
Assistant Dean of Research
In response of the need to develop administrative as well as fiscal self-sufficiency, in August 2004, the Director of the UPRSD Research Office was elevated to the rank of Assistant Dean of Research. As a result a Center was created and has become more effective in promoting a research culture and supervising research efforts undertaken by faculty and students.
Mission
The mission of the UPRSDM Office of the Dean of Research is to conduct, collaborate and promote investigations in oral health disparities that disproportionately affect the Puerto Rico population.
Office of the Assistant Dean of Research
Faculty and students are encouraged to submit copies of their proposals, thesis and published articles to the Assistant Dean of Research.
